Rad Soap Co. Skin Psyche

My first assignment at the helm of Rad Soap Co.’s design department was to redesign its fifteen-piece skincare line, Skin Psyche. This line spanned a full skincare regimen that included facial cleansers, face masks, serums, toners, and face cream. Each product had a unique blend of botanical ingredients meant to be inclusive for most skin types.

Challenge:

  • Highlight Rad Soap Co.’s pride in being an all natural skincare company, while making the packaging look "like a psychedelic 60's acid trip" as was requested by the head honchos.

  • Create a cohesive packaging solution that will cary across the fifteen products under the Skin Psyche umbrella.

Solution:

Because Rad Soap Co. prides itself on using zero artificial additives or colorants, the ingredients are the main attraction. I wanted to highlight the carefully selected botanicals in each product while also giving the consumer a fun and wacky bottle to put on the bathroom counter. The Rad Soap Co. brand is all about being bold and unexpected, and I wanted to be sure that these products fit that bill.

A similar design system is carried throughout the line to unify the products as well
as educate the customer about the main ingredients showcased in each, helping
to guide users to the products best matched to their needs and skin types.

Each product includes carefully chosen botanical ingredients meant
to help your skin in specific ways. I wanted to be sure that the
